The IMCW New Year's Retreat: Intimacy with Life
Event Location: Pearlstone Retreat Center
December 27 - January 1
Tara Brach, Jonathan Foust, Hugh Byrne and Pat Coffey
Vipassana, or Buddhist Meditation, is a way of opening to life and seeing clearly the totality of one’s being and experience. The practice is based on cultivating a present-centered mindfulness, leading to an unfolding of our natural wisdom and compassion.
The focus of this weeklong retreat is to enhance intimacy with ourselves and the world. In order to help participants discover a sense of stillness and deep listening, silence will be maintained throughout the retreat except during question/answer periods and interviews with the teachers. Daily mindful movement sessions will be offered.
Check-in begins @ 4 p.m. on Friday; retreat ends at 12 noon the following Friday with lunch served at 12:30 p.m.
Meals at the Pearlstone Retreat Center are lacto-ovo vegetarian. Please note on your registration if you have any special dietary restrictions.
