Join us for an introduction to mindfulness meditation for lawyers, law students, and legal professionals. Learn how simple mindfulness practices can help to calm the mind, focus attention, and awaken us to the aliveness of the present moment in which our lives can unfold with greater freedom, creativity, and ease.
9 a.m.: Gather and breakfast
9:30 a.m.-12 noon: Program
12-1 p.m.: Lunch and discussion
Led by acclaimed meditation teacher Jonathan Foust, a teacher for the Insight Meditation Community of Washington, cofounder of the Meditation Teacher Training Institute and a senior teacher and former president of Kripalu Center. He has been leading retreats and training teachers for more than 25 years and is the creator of the “Year of Living Mindfully” program.
Breakfast will be provided prior to the program that concludes at 12 noon. Participants are encouraged to stay for lunch for a discussion guided by Jonathan Foust and an opportunity to get to know other attendees.
